Lorraine M. Wallace, 92, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia with Reverend J. Grantham officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wynnton United Methodist Church, 2412 Wynnton Road, Columbus, Georgia 31906.

Lorraine M. Wallace, 92, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

Lorraine was born on November 20, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marie Fox. She graduated from Saginaw High School and worked during World War II at Baker Perkins. She was married to the late Jack Wallace in 1948 becoming a housewife and mother. Later Lorraine worked as an executive secretary for the president of Michigan National Bank from 1962 to 1987. While in Saginaw she was an active member of Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church serving on many boards. Lorraine was a sustainer in the Saginaw Junior League, a member of the Saginaw Garden Club and the Germania. Living in Saginaw until 2001 she moved to the Columbus area to be close to her loving daughter, Beth. She was also a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church and the Goodwill class. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wallace and her son, John Wallace.
She leaves her legacy to her daughter, Beth Hendrickson and son-in-law, Larry Hendrickson; two granddaughters, Amy McClenny (Ellis) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Ann Richardson (Matt) of Athens, Georgia as well as two precious great grandsons, Connor and Brady Richardson. Other family members to cherish her legacy are her sister, Brenda Kerrigan of Traverse City, Michigan; loving nieces and a nephew: Kathy and Jim Miller of Omena, Michigan, Lorri and Doug Wolf of Traverse City, Michigan, Susan Fox of Pentwater, Michigan and Dr. Frank and Deb Kerrigan of LaQuinta, California.
