Marvin "Uncle Bud" Bishop Moss, 93, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 3:00pm with Reverend Lamar Dubose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.

Mr. Moss was born January 12, 1923 in Black, Alabama but spend most his adult life in Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. Known to most as Uncle Bud, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hard worker who served time in the Navy, was a small business owner, and worked many years in construction. Mr. Moss was most happy when helping others, whether taking in a family fallen on hard times and providing them a home, or helping a friend in need. He was Baptist by faith and his contagious smile and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
Survivors include sons, Marvin Moss, Jr. and Edwin Bruce Moss; daughter-in-law, Melanie Moss; grandchildren, Michael Moss, Dawn Moss Meier, Thad Moss; as well as many great grandchildren; loving friends; and other relatives.
