Rosie Ellen Ennis, 86, of Columbus, GA. passed away on June 11, 2017

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, GA. with Reverend Mike McBride officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Ennis was born on February 28, 1931 in Selma, AL. to the late Ottis Otto Jackson and Cora Pearl McCullars and was one of seven daughters. She married her late husband, Billy Duncan Ennis in 1950.
Mrs. Ennis was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother and was dedicated to her family, caring for several family members through brief illnesses in her home. She enjoyed cooking and was a servant to all and was totally unselfish to everyone. Other than a homemaker she worked in the Mill briefly. In the years she cared for her mother, her home was a hub for many happy memorable gatherings.

Survivors include her daughter, Lois Farmer and husband Robert, son, Michael Ennis, seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee (Lance)
Kathryn Greene (Chris), Rebecca Jones (Case), Jade Ennis, Rachel Holt (David), Ben Farmer (Tiffanee), and Rebekah Knox (Billy) 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
